Yesterday wasn’t just a maternity session.


It was a full-circle moment wrapped in a sunrise that looked like Heaven accidentally left the saturation slider turned
up.

For nearly two decades, I’ve been honored to capture the Kelly family from family sessions to senior portraits. Then
came engagement photos. Then wedding day coverage for both their daughters.

And yesterday… she rested her hand on the tiny heartbeat that’s about to call her “Mom.” This is why I still get
emotional after all these years.

People think photography is about cameras, lenses, and editing. Sure… those matter.

But moments like this? They aren’t created by luck.They come from 23 years of chasing sunrises, learning light,
mastering off-camera flash, studying posing, planning locations/clothing/props, blowing exposures, trying again, and
refusing to settle until I could create images that feel exactly like the moment deserved.

Because one day these photos won’t just be beautiful. They’ll be proof of where a family’s story paused for one perfect
morning before everything changed forever.

To watch my clients grow from awkward teenagers… to newlyweds… to parents… That’s a privilege I’ll never get used to.
