Hey y'all! Is January really over already? Like dang... The ladies and I met earlier in the month to plan out this year and we have so many exciting bookings, events, and workshops planned. I had such a great time teaching at PPA's national convention called Imaging, held in snowy Nashville in mid January. I got to see 2-3 inches of snow, not once but twice in the 5 days I was there! Lovely to look at but not so much for traveling in. My three classes were sold out and students really saw the power of transforming an orange-colored, dimly lit ballroom into something special using lighting off camera.
I also attended quite a few classes and challenged myself to take only marketing and business classes instead of technique or inspiration driven ones. It's a wise thing to be a business woman who happens to be a photographer vs the other way around. I had the honor of walking the stage and receiving my Craftsman teaching degree from PPA. The medallion means very little but the process of getting there means the world. I will teach until I physically cannot. It's who I am and what good are we if we don't educate and share to the next generation?
The image below is a small sample of what the room looked like to the eye...
